National Philanthropy: A Semester In Review

The 2014 Spring semester was a huge hit for UNC Tri Delta's national philanthropy efforts! All of the money we raised will go directly to St. Jude Children's Research hospital - how awesome is that? Thanks to our phenomenal National Philanthropy Chair Maggie Knight our two main events were hugely successful.

Frats At Bat

This year was the fifth anniversary of Frats at Bat and the most competitive year yet! We had 19 IFC Fraternities participating in the softball tournament this year at Hooker Fields. On March 21, all 19 fraternities played their hearts out and Pi Kappa Phi came out victorious! Congratulations to the men of Pi Kappa Phi for pulling out a great win. The event raised over $5,000 and was a huge success. The women of Tri Delta coached the teams, manned the food stations and supported all of the teams in the tournament.

A huge, well-deserved thank you goes to our five sponsors this year: Al's Burger Shack, Domino's Pizza, CVS, Youngsville Cabinet Company and Batts, Batts & Bell LLP. Thank you to everyone who participated in the event and we hope to see everyone on the field next year! For more pictures from the event, check out the Facebook album!

Sincerely Yours

Every year Delta Delta Delta chapters across the nation participate in a letter-writing campaign called Sincerely Yours that asks friends and family to generously donate directly to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. This year the Alpha Sigma chapter of Tri Delta raised more than $29,000 since November! Tri Delta would like to thank everyone who may have donated to St. Jude through Sincerely Yours - you are truly making a difference!
